Behind the Scenes: people

Allie Gordon

This month, we are speaking with Allie, our amazing
education and workforce development coordinator here at 4T2D. With a background as a former high school educator, Allie brings exceptional instructional skills
to the table and excels at refining our sewing techniques.

Joining our team in 2023, Allie has been knocking it out of park since joining us. When asked about her favorite aspect of her role, she enthused, "I love collaborating with colleagues on training initiatives and organizing/teaching community classesā€”there's something special about sewing together!" Hailing from Washington, DC, Allie cherishes 4T2D as a supportive environment that prioritizes continual learning while creating opportunities for Vermonters.

When Allie isnā€™t spending time with her rescue pup, Quinn, she loves to sew, bike along old gravel roads, snowboard and cooking really good food. Her favorite Vermont thing to do is spend a date night with her husband in the summer and get in their old truck to go and get a maple creemee at Palmer Laneā€™s in Jericho. If you donā€™t know what a creemee is, itā€™s Vermontā€™s version of soft serve ice cream and itā€™s delicious and you wonā€™t be disappointed.

We always ask our employees what product of ours is their favorite, Allie's a big fan of our ringer tees. And it's worth
noting that her husband is a devoted fan of our classic PKT tee, swearing by its unparalleled qualityā€“something we always love to hear!Ā

Behind the design: PRODUCTS

Lightweight Jersey Tees

Introducing our Spring lineup showcasing a blend of new styles, including the RPL alongside timeless favorites. However, what truly sets this collection apart is the introduction of our revolutionary lightweight jersey fabric, elevating comfort to new heights!

Crafted from a blend of cotton and modal, each tee boasts a luxurious softness that feels amazing on your skin. In previous collections, our tees were fashioned from a cotton modal interlock, providing a cozy weight ideal for cooler climates. Yet, as we embarked on designing our Spring collection, we envisioned tees that retained their soft feel while adapting to warmer temperatures. Thus, our jersey tee was born!

This collection sees the transformation of beloved classics such as the Menā€™s PKT tee, the Womenā€™s MXD tee, and both Men and Womenā€™s Graphic and Printed tees into lightweight jersey versions! For our womenā€™s jersey tees, we even refined the neckline, transitioning from a crewneck to a chic boatneck designā€”striking the perfect balance between breathability and comfort. Impossibly soft and breathable, our new jersey tees are primed for the sun-drenched days ahead.

With these new additions, alongside our entire Spring Collection, we're ready for the warm days that are just around the corner. Get
ready for the season in style by securing one of these must-have teesā€”guaranteed to be your go-to attire all season long!

Behind vermont lines:

Underhill State Park

Each month, we'll be talking about our favorite spots of our
featured employees in Vermont. This month, Allie, a resident of Underhill, shares her enthusiasm for the breathtaking views and serene countryside surrounding
Underhill State Park!

Nestled within Mount Mansfield State Forest, just beyond the summit ridge of Stowe Mountain ski area, Underhill State Park is renowned for its extensive hiking trails. Offering four routes to the summit ridge of Mount Mansfield, a portion of which connects to Vermont's iconic Long Trail, the park provides a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. While the park isn't open year-round, fret notā€”its gates open on the Friday before Memorial Day, welcoming explorers throughout the summer and well into mid-October!

As Allie noted, the panoramic views are simply spectacular. So, gather your friends and family, including your furry friends (yes, pets are welcome!), and don't forget a fully charged phone to capture every moment. For those not just interested in hiking, the park offers overnight camping options, including tent sites, cozy lean-tos, and even group camping facilities capable of accommodating up to 75 individuals!

Should you feel the urge to embark on a new Vermont adventure, look no further than Underhill State Parkā€”we're certain you'll love every second!
