Our shackets are made with 100% recycled Manteco® Wool. Manteco® wool is a premium fabric known for its sustainability, high-quality craftsmanship, and luxurious feel. Originating from Italy, Manteco® wool blends traditional weaving techniques with innovative, eco-friendly processes and has been doing it since 1943! It’s celebrated for its softness, warmth, and durability, making it an ideal choice for outerwear like coats and jackets. The wool’s natural fibers allow it to breathe, regulate temperature, and resist wrinkles, offering both style and functionality. In addition, Manteco® is deeply committed to reducing environmental impact, often using recycled wool, and minimizing water and energy consumption during production. This results in a fabric that not only looks and feels exquisite but also aligns with modern sustainability goals. They were even the winner of ‘THE CLIMATE ACTION AWARD’ at Sustainable Fashion Awards 2023. Sustainable Buttons
Our shackets are fastened with sustainable FM Buttons. FM Buttons is a Lithuanian-based company that has been manufacturing sustainable buttons for over 25 years. They supply both emerging and established brands with a range of eco-friendly buttons made from alternative materials like bioresin, corozo, and casein. FM Buttons emphasizes sustainability by using natural and biodegradable materials, such as fruit and vegetable waste, casein (a milk protein), and corozo, a nut from the tagua tree. These buttons reduce environmental impact and carbon footprints compared to traditional polyester options. Our buttons are from the “Bioresin” collection made from a new bio-based material – “BioRec”. It is an unsaturated-polyester material, which is produced using more than 25% of fruit and vegetable waste. Therefore, the material reduces the carbon footprint by approximately 25% compared to regular polyester buttons. FM Buttons offers unique, environmentally friendly options for fashion brands looking to reduce waste and improve the sustainability of their products.
