Made in the USA Spotlight: 4T2D’s Vermont Roots

For some, it is a label. For others, it is a marketing angle.

At 4T2D, it is the foundation of everything we do.

Our products are not just designed here. They are built here. Every beanie, every garment, every detail is rooted in Vermont, shaped by the people, environment, and community that surround us.

This is what “Made in the USA” looks like when it is done with intention.

Built in Vermont, From Start to Finish

At 4T2D, production does not travel across the globe or pass through multiple factories.

Everything happens right here in Vermont.

From early design concepts to final stitching and finishing, each piece is created within the same ecosystem. Our products are made at Fourbital Factory in Burlington, where design, development, and production all live under one roof.

That level of control allows us to stay connected to every step of the process.

It means:

• Better quality control
• Faster iteration and improvements
• Consistent craftsmanship
• Real accountability behind every product

When you know where something is made, you know what goes into it.

A Response to Fast Fashion

The modern apparel industry is built on speed and volume.

Mass production. Overseas manufacturing. Short product lifecycles.

4T2D was created as a response to that system.

The brand was founded to bring manufacturing back to Vermont and produce apparel that values quality over quantity.

Instead of chasing trends, we focus on:

• Timeless design
• Durable construction
• Small-batch production
• Products that last

Because the most sustainable product is the one you do not have to replace.

Reviving Local Manufacturing

Vermont was once home to a thriving textile and garment industry. Over time, much of that production moved overseas.

4T2D is part of a growing movement to bring it back.

By producing locally, we are helping rebuild something that nearly disappeared. Not just factories, but the skills and knowledge that come with them.

Inside our facility, you will find:

• Designers
• Sewists
• Technicians
• Makers learning and refining their craft

In many cases, team members are trained in-house, building a new generation of skilled workers in American manufacturing.

This is not just about making products. It is about rebuilding capability.

Craftsmanship You Can Feel

When production is local, craftsmanship becomes visible.

You can see it in:

• Clean, consistent stitching
• Structured knit construction
• Thoughtful material selection
• Attention to detail across every piece

Because everything is made under one roof, there is no disconnect between design and execution.

Our team wears what we make, tests it in real Vermont conditions, and refines it based on real experience.

That proximity creates better products.

Designed for Real Life in Vermont

Vermont is not just where we make our products. It is what shapes them.

The climate here demands gear that performs.

Cold mornings. Wind. Snow. Long winters. Rapid seasonal changes.

Every 4T2D beanie is designed with that in mind and tested in the same environment it is built for.

If it works here, it works anywhere.

Small Batch, Intentional Production

Producing locally allows us to stay flexible.

Instead of large, overseas production runs, we focus on smaller batches. That means we can:

• Reduce excess inventory
• Minimize waste
• Keep designs fresh
• Maintain higher quality standards

It also allows us to stay closer to our community and respond to what people actually want to wear.

Less waste. Better product. More intention.

Supporting a Local Ecosystem

When something is made locally, the impact goes beyond the product itself.

It supports:

• Local jobs
• Regional suppliers
• Skilled trades
• Small business ecosystems

From sourcing materials to final production, keeping things close to home creates a ripple effect that strengthens the local economy.

It also creates a deeper connection between the product and the people behind it.

Why “Made Here” Still Matters

In a globalized industry, local manufacturing stands out.

It represents:

• Transparency
• Accountability
• Craftsmanship
• Longevity

It means fewer miles traveled, more control over quality, and a stronger connection to the product you are wearing.

At 4T2D, “Made in the USA” is not just about location.

It is about doing things the right way.

Rooted in Vermont, Ready for Anywhere

Everything we make starts here.

Inspired by Vermont. Built by our community. Designed for real life.

Whether you are on the mountain, in town, or somewhere in between, our goal is simple:

Create products that move with you, last over time, and reflect where they came from.

Because when something is made with intention, you can feel the difference.
